Style Inspiration

We looked at film noir for inspiration of style and tone. Heres a still from Touch of Evil and a number of images taken from a film-noir-style shoot for Vanity Fair featuring many well known faces:









Edward Hopper: The American realist painter was born in New York (the inspiration for our city) and paints beautifully rendered urban and rural paintings. The example below was painted in 1942, named 'Nighthawks' and inspires us in terms of tone and shadows.
